In Loving Memory of Adrianna Waldron Pitts February 5, 1935 – October 24, 2025

Adrianna Waldron Pitts, a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, gained her wings on October 24, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Her life was deeply rooted in faith, love, and service to others, and her legacy will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.

Born on February 5, 1935, in La Vergne, Tennessee, Adrianna was one of sixteen children raised on her family’s Cane Ridge farm, land that now rests beneath Percy Priest Lake. She graduated from Smyrna High School in 1953, carrying with her the values of hard work, resilience, and devotion to family that would guide her throughout her life.

In the 1960s, Adrianna began attending Lebanon Road Church of Christ, where she found not only a church home but also a lifelong spiritual family. Her faith was her foundation, and she lived it daily through kindness, generosity, and steadfast devotion.

Adrianna built a long and successful career with H.G. Hill, beginning in the meat department and working her way up to manager over the course of 41 years. She was admired for her dedication, leadership, and caring spirit, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought light and laughter into her life. She poured her love into them, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, and devotion that will continue to live on through them.

Adrianna was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Joseph Daniel “Joey” Higgins; her son, David E. Pitts; her daughter, Anita G. Higgins; and her parents, Sam Waldron and Mabel Grey Johnson Waldron. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Ruby Kirklin, Mildred Townes, Wilma Williams, Ernestine Jones, Christine Waldron, and Martha Hayes; and by her brothers A.G. Waldron, James Waldron, Samuel Waldron, Kenneth Waldron, Bryant Waldron, Loyd Waldron, Franklin Waldron, and Melvin Waldron.

She is survived by her brother, Cecil Waldron, along with her loving family who will carry her memory forward.

Adrianna will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her boundless love, and her gentle strength—a life well-lived and a soul well-loved.
