Alice Raleigh

Alice Faye Raleigh, age 73 of Nashville, passed away at 1:00 PM on January 29, 2015 at her home.Born in Buckhorn, KY, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Juanita Johnson Neace. Early in her life, the family relocated to Ohio where Alice was raised.Alice grew up playing the piano for her father, who was a Baptist minister. This experience instilled in her the strong love of music that guided her through life. She loved playing and sharing her talent with her church family. Her most valued possession in life has always been the piano that was delivered to her on the day of her son's birth - a gift from her loving father.Alice was a dreamer. She taught her children that you can have anything in life as long as you apply yourself. Her desire to see what else the world had to offer led her to leave her family in Ohio and move to Nashville with her two children.Her courageous and entrepreneurial spirit led her into a successful hair salon business and a fulfilling career as a music executive.Alice is survived by her beloved children: Regina Raleigh and Keith Raleigh, and two grandchildren: McKayla and Ava.Under the direction of Nashville Funeral and Cremation, the family will gather with friends for graveside services at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2015 in Hendersonville Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Don Rose.NASHVILLE FUNERAL AND CREMATION 615-256-1605
