Betty Jean Davis

January 8, 1927 - March 24, 2017

Betty Jean Davis, 90, formerly of Overland Park, KS, passed away March 24, 2017 at the Health Center at Richland Place in Nashville, TN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 22 at the Village Presbyterian Church; burial will be in Tennessee.

Betty was born January 8th, 1927 the first child of Alleta and Wayne Etherton. She graduated from Central High School in 1944. Betty married William “Bill” Elliott Davis in November, 1948 and they were married 51 years. Betty was the Art Director for the American Chinana Journal. She was an active Women’s Circle Member, Elder, and Food Pantry volunteer at The Village Church.

Betty is survived by her daughter Claudia Davis; daughter-in-law Nancy Davis (Tom) and grandchildren John Elliott (Danielle), Andrew (Katie) and Kaitlin Davis, and her first great-grandson Ethan Thomas Davis; sister Shirley Trueblood (Walter); sister-in-law Muriel Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
