Bowers, Ray

Joel Ray Bowers, age 59, passed away at his home on February 5, 2013, in Lebanon, Tennessee. Joel was born and raised in Donelson, Tennessee where he graduated from McGavock High school in 1972. He was retired from American Airlines since 2008 He also owned and operated Joel Bowers Septic Pumping in Lebanon. Joel was survived by his two children, Courtney Paige and Joshua Trey, mother Jon Rhea Bowers, brothers Randy Bowers(Alma), Mike Bowers, sister Janice Lavendar (Hardy) and Glynda Bowers all of Kingston Springs, Jeannie Gayle Hodges (Jimmy) of Smyrna, TN. 8 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Hubert “Dee” Bowers. Honorary Pallbearers are: Gary Henley, Terry Jackson, Brian Gibson, Shayne Lavendar, Blake Bowers and Billy Birdwell. The family will have memorial service February 17th at 2:00pm in the Community Center at Burns Park, Kingston Springs, Tennessee. A celebration of life service will immediately follow.
