Carlton Kelley

Carlton Berton Kelley ("Kelley"), age 95. Born April 3, 1925, in Bath, ME. Died March 2, 2021, in Franklin, TN. Formerly of Bath ME, Tampa FL, Gainesville FL, Burns TN, and Belleview TN.He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and served as a pilot in the pacific theater during World War II and during the Berlin Air Lift. He continued his service in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, rising to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant before his retirement in 1966.Kelley loved the simple pleasures in life; spending time with his family, gem and mineral collecting, working with his hands as a mechanic or in the garden, and most of all, being of service to others.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Donna A. Kelley, his son Dr. Mark C. Kelley, daughter in law, Lisa H. Kelley, grandsons, Cameron S. Kelley and Ryan C. Kelley and granddaughter, Marisa D. Kelley. He is preceded in death his parents, Leon H. Kelley Sr. and Marion H. Kelley and his brother, Leon H. Kelley Jr. all of Woolwich, ME.The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 12 , at St. Matthew Catholic Church with military honors. He will be laid to rest at the Middle Tennessee Veterans' Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: wounded warriorproject.org
