Cheryl L. Davis lost a courageous battle with cancer in Hermitage, TN. Born October 28, 1955, in Rockford, IL to Lonnie Phares and Burtine (Fox) Phares and attended Rockford East High School. Later married William L. Davis March 1, 1980, in Rockton, IL. Had worked in several shops in the Rockford area, but made a career of being a wonderful stay-at-home mom and caregiver of everyone around her. Survived by husband, William of Hermitage, TN; son, William (Billy) Davis of Hermitage, TN; daughter, Katrina (Donovan) Pritchard of Nashville, TN; one grandson, Gabriel Pritchard of Nashville, TN; two brothers, James (Steve) and Diane Phares of Roscoe, IL and Ronald Lee Phares of Rockford, IL; four sisters, Mrs. Darlene (Larry) Williamson of Loves Park, IL, Nancy (Marvin) Bloomgren of Rockford, IL, Christine Gale Truckenbrod of Rockford, IL and JoAnn (Pete) Sirici of Roscoe, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, one brother, Harry Daniel Phares, and one sister, Janice Marie Phares. She loved all her nieces and nephews and her rescue beagles. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to a cancer research program of their choice.
