With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Daniel Thomas Gift Sr., who departed this life on July 1, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on June 21, 1950, Dr. Dan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. The light of his life was his beloved wife, Camille Core Gift, who preceded him in death in March 2017.
A proud veteran, Dr. Gift served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1975. For decades, he was a respected dentist, known for greeting his patients with his signature phrase: “Give your smile a Gift.”
He is survived by his loving daughter, Sara Elizabeth Matthews (Thomas Matthews), and his son, Daniel Thomas Gift Jr.; as well as four cherished grandchildren: Lilah Keen Palmer, Harper Camille Matthews, Leighton Love Matthews, and Tommie June Matthews. His legacy lives on through them and all whose lives he touched.
A visitation to celebrate Dr. Gift’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Woodmont Christian Church. Family, friends, former patients, and colleagues are warmly invited to attend.
Dr. Gift will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his gentle spirit, compassion, and the joy he brought to others.
