David Doughty

April 22, 1980 — June 26, 2013

David Michael Doughty, entered this world on April 22, 1980 in Bakersfield, CA and entered heaven’s gates June 26, 2013 in Nashville, TN after a 25 month battle with a heart disorder. David was a true fighter he never gave up.
David grew up in Bakersfield, CA, and was a 1998 graduate from West High School . Upon graduation he received the Bill Clinton award for the most improved student. David went to San Joaquin Valley College and became a respiratory therapist, later attending The University of Phoenix as a Business Management student and The Art School of Nashville.
David worked for Hoffman Hospice and Lincare in Bakersfield, CA. Soon he transferred to Seattle, WA where he served as a Respiratory Therapist, finally David transferred to Nashville, TN with United Medical Care where he served as the Regional Manager of nine southern states. David’s final position allowed him to serve as a Respiratory Therapist at Summit Medical Center.
David always gave 110% in all he did. He will be known for his beautiful bright blue eyes and his charismatic personality. He was a true artist and loved photography. He had an ability to see and draw out the beauty in others.
David was preceded in death by his older Brother Robbie Doughty; Papa Bill Adams; Grandma Ona Doughty; and Grandpa Bud Doughty; Uncles Ed Doughty and Gean Holt.
Survived by Parents Bob and Beverly Doughty of Madison, TN; Brother Ryan (Tami) Doughty of Bakersfield, CA; Nephew Ethan Doughty of Bakersfield, CA; Granny Margaret Adams of Taft, CA; Aunts and Uncles Brenda Holt of Taft, CA; Peggy (Gene) Saffel of Taft, CA; Ray (Doylene) Doughty of Mesquite, NV; Steve (Nancy) Doughty of Cheney, WA; David (Myra) Adams of Bliss, ID; Three Godchildren and many cousins.
A special thank you to all of David’s friends and to Alive Hospice (North Team) for all their wonderful care.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 3, 2013 at The Hotel Preston 733 Briley Parkway, Nashville, TN at 2 PM.
