David Ray

David Wesley Ray, age 60 of Old Hickory, passed away March 26, 2015 at Alive Hospice Madison Campus.David was born March 3, 1955 in Nashville and was the son of James Andrew Ray and Juanita Dunn Ray Carrick.He was a talented carpenter and loved his family. David was talented in many areas other than carpentry. He was given a musical gift that included song writing, guitar, harmonica and banjo.David is survived by his life-partner: Debbie McGowan of Old Hickory; daughter: Shelly Slater of Nashville; mother and step-father: Juanita and Everett Carrick of Hendersonville; brother: Jeffrey Glenn Ray of Nashville; sister: Anita Gale (Gary) Johnson of Hendersonville; a grandchild: Ethan Slater; and step children: Deanna McGowan of Goodlettsville and Patrick McGowan of Nashville.
