Dorsey Young

Dorsey Eugene Young Sr.age 76, of Summerville passed away on November 27, 2013, following a long illness. Mr. Young was born on August 3rd, 1937 in Rome Ga. to the late Stewart Nolan Young, and Evie Adell Young. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, Leroy Young, Earl Young, Robert Young, Edward Young, and Imogene Crider. Mr. Young was retired and served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include 2 sons and 2 daughters – Buster Young and Darrell Young of Summerville, Ga. and Dolly Young~Ruiz of Murfreesboro Tn. and Deetra Hunt of Nashville, Tn. Eleven grandchildren are Audrey Young, Ella Young, Brad Young, Meagan Castillio, April Young, Bryan Young, Anthony Young, Pierce Ruiz, Mateo Ruiz, Cole Hunt and Haleigh Hunt and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Young is also survived by a sister and a brother, Mildred Slaton and Bobby Young Aragon. A celebration of his life will be held at the residence of Buster & Amy Young of Summerville, Georgia on Saturday December 7, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. David Howard and Mr. Lucas Butler officiating. At other hours families may be reached at their respective residence.
