86. Passed away March 24,
2013. Preceded in death by parents-Magdalene & Raymond Kay Dunning of Vicksburg, MS; sister Marjorie of Lecanto, FL; brother Ted of Seattle,WA and grandson Kenneth Canady. Survived by wife Elizabeth; sister Velma (Bill) Porter, Starkville, MS; sons Brian (Margaret); Mark(Susan); daughters Diane of SC; Joy Simon; grandchildren, Suzanne, Beth, Evan, Owen Canady; Raymond of CO; Cpt. Whitt Dunning of GA; great grandson Liam of CO. A native of Vicksburg, attended Speed St. Elementary and Carr Central High. He was in the US Army Signal Corp during WWII in the Philippines. Earned BSEE at Mississippi State Univ. Licensed Professional Engineer in AL & TN. Worked at Marshall Space Center, Huntsville, AL on earth satellites & the Lunar Excursion Module. Retired from Avco Aero-structures working in C130, L1011 aircraft, Research and Development on advanced composites for aircraft structures. Graveside services and Burial at Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery on McCory Lane, 1 PM on March 27, 2013. Memorials may be made to Nashville Rescue Mission or Nashville Humane Society.
