Obituary:
Gail Ann Bailey, a beloved soul who painted beautiful paintings for everyone to see and cherish, has passed away peacefully at her home in Old Hickory. She was born on August 29, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH, and departed from this world on July 8, 2024.
Throughout her life, Gail touched the hearts of many with her creativity and kindness. She spent her days crafting art that now adorns walls all over the world. Her dedication to her craft and passion for spreading beauty through her paintings will forever be remembered.
Gail's journey was marked by her unwavering love for her family. As a mother and grandmother, she poured boundless love and care into the lives of her children: Holly, George, Harry, and Louis Failla. Her proudest accomplishment was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother - roles she fulfilled with all the love in her heart. Gail's grandchildren held a huge place in her heart, and she loved being a grandmother more than anything in the world.
Being the Last True Hippie, Gail exuded a free-spirited nature that drew people towards her. Her friends were captivated by her kind soul and generous spirit. She was always there to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Gail's presence in their lives brought warmth and light that will be deeply missed.
In addition to her children, Gail is survived by her siblings: Al, Rick, Sherry, Pat, David, Joy; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and creativity will live on through the memories shared by those who knew her best.
Apart from painting, Gail found joy in yoga - where she could stand on her head with ease until the very end. She had a special fondness for horses, a beautiful china cabinet at home, and cherished moments spent traveling or relaxing by the lake. Her dedication to nature conservation made her a champion for preserving the beauty that surrounded her.
As we mourn the loss of Gail Ann Bailey from our earthly world, let us remember the light she brought into our lives and carry forward the love she so freely gave. May her spirit continue to inspire us to embrace creativity, kindness, and generosity in all that we do.
Rest in peace, dear Gail. You will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of love and artistry.
