Harold Evett, Jr

Harold Dwayne Evett, Jr., of Hendersonville TN, age 53, went to be with The Lord on December 30, 2013. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday January 11 ^th at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Hermitage United Methodist Church located at 205 Belinda Drive, Hermitage, TN (just off of Lebanon Road) with Rev. Chris Seifert officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Born September 7, 1960 in Dallas, GA to Harold D. Evett, Sr. and Betty Pritchett Evett. Dwayne was of Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold D. (Maggie) Evett, Sr. of Centerville, TN, brother-in-law Terry M. Wooten of Springfield, TN, grandparents Grady and Sarah (Coats) Evett of Dallas, GA and Arthur and Mary (Champion) Pritchett of Dallas, GA. He is survived by mother Betty P. Evett, sisters Tracie (David) Ensey, Angela (Evett) Wooten, nephew Ryan (Katie) Carey, niece Sarah Grace Ensey, and by many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Dwayne grew up in Dallas, GA where he loved and excelled in football and baseball. He graduated from Paulding County High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy. He then moved to Hendersonville, TN where he resided until his passing. He worked in construction and home improvement for many years, and loved to fish and especially enjoyed cooking. He was an excellent cook! In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
