James Stephens

STEPHENS, JAMES CONKLIN (SUZY) : January 7, 1937 – December 29, 2013. Age 76 of Nashville, TN. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, James C. Stephens. Eldest son of James “Jim” and Frances (Whited) Stephens of Dickson, TN who preceded him in death along with his beloved grandparents, Roscoe and Fannye (Byrn) Whited, of Dickson, TN; brother, Larry Stephens of Hendersonville, TN and devoted friend, Marlene Allard of Lebanon, TN. James attended Antioch High School (1957), was active in the Lions Club in the 1970’s, and was a local truck driver by trade before retiring. He is survived by three children: Kevin Stephens (Susan) of Nashville; Tracye Stephens of Nashville; and Pamela Rollins (Rock) of Navarre, FL. He has seven grandchildren: Amy Millraney, Rachel Earle, Jeremy Brown, Derek Stephens, Ryan Stephens, Jacob and Matthew Laughlin. His great grandchildren include Alexandria Earle and Brody Campbell. A memorial visitation will be held at Faith Methodist Church located at 419 Ezell Pike, Nashville, TN 37217 on Thursday, January 2nd, 2014 from 4pm – 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be given to any of the following: Alive Hospice (Nashville), the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, or the American Lung Association.
