Jo Ann (Beaumont) Butler

March 5, 1946 – November 23, 2021

Jo Ann was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Richard and Christine Beaumont.  She came to Christ in her youth and always delighted in being a part of school and church choirs.  She worked and put herself through college at Lamar College (now University).  She met her husband Terry while they were both working at Sears during college. They were wed in 1969 and were married for over 52 years.  They had one child, their daughter Amanda.

Jo Ann taught school for most of her career and enjoyed administrative roles as well.

Jo Ann was predeceased by her brother Nathan Keith Beaumont, and parents Richard and Christine Beaumont.  She is survived by her husband Terry Butler, daughter Amanda Butler, sister Barbara Morales, sister Sarah Foreman, three nieces, and two nephews.

Her love of Jesus and music was evident through her many years at First Baptist Franklin and Brentwood Baptist Church.  She was friendly, kindly, and neighborly.  She demonstrated a tender heart of gratitude and a sweet spirit.

The family will hold a small reception in remembrance and celebration for Jo Ann Butler on Wednesday, January 26, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon (with a brief program at 10:30), at Brentwood Baptist Church in the Welcome Center (7777 Concord Road, Brentwood, TN 37027).
