John Wesley Moody, III, age 67, of Nashville, died March 30, 2015.The son of Gladys Hibbett Moore and John Wesley Moody, Jr., Wes was born March 5, 1948. He attended Parmer Elementary School and Hillsboro High School, where he made cherished, life-long friends. An outstanding athlete, his proudest moment was making a last-second basket to lead Hillsboro to victory over Glencliff High School.Wes attended the University of Memphis and served in the United States Navy. He worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration before going into medical group management.Wes was predeceased by his parents and his grandparents, Gladys and Walter C. Moore and Ina and John W. Moody, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gring Moody, and their son, Ben Moody; his brother Barry Moody (Amanda); brother-in-law, Robert Gring; sisters-in-law, Harriet G. Fowler and Alice G. Martin (Rick); nieces and nephews, Bradley Moody, Patrick Moody, Will Martin and Ashley Martin; aunt, Mrs. Aubrey F. Moore; and cousin, Lynn Moore-Benson (Barry).A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4 at the Historic Presbyterian Church, 5
