Keith Drummond

February 29, 1956 — December 28, 2020

Keith Drummond, a loving husband, proud father, and joyful grandfather, died on December 28, 2020, after a 2 month journey with cancer; he was 64. He is preceded in death by his brother Brian Drummond. He is survived by his wife of 42 years-the great love of his life-Laurie Drummond, son and daughter-in-law Josh and Erin Drummond, princess granddaughter Abigail Drummond, daughter and son-in-law Maria and Taylor Ivey, father and mother Bob and Carolyn Drummond, brother Dave Drummond, and an army of nieces, nephews, and extended family-all of whom can speak to the force in which he loved them, most felt by his all-encompassing bear hugs. His no holds barred love was available to all who needed it: friends, neighbors, co-workers, chosen family, and passerbys alike. He will be sorely missed by all, including his 130-pound rescued English Mastiff, Bella. He will be remembered for his laugh, his affinity for saying "yahoo!" to celebrate things big and small, his love of Alabama football, his understanding of the brilliance of the Allman Brothers Band, his appetite and appreciation for a good meal shared, and the way he threw his whole heart into the people he loved. He enjoyed a tenured, successful career in Technology Sales and Management, helping to build many businesses and mentoring countless careers of others along the way. He was an avid outdoorsman who most felt God's peace while wet-wading in the Caney Fork River and in the woods of Middle Tennessee. A hands-on member of The Village Chapel, his faith was a guiding force in his life-his reason for kindness, compassion, and selflessness. He left this world on the cusp of retirement and his family considers his entry into Heaven as the greatest retirement plan of all. And we look forward to our reunion as we know he will have already found the good fishing spots and best places to eat.The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at St. Thomas Midtown who’s kind and attentive care will not be forgotten, especially his nurse Bailey, who was quick with the popsicles. His ashes will be placed at Larkspur Conservation, a place his family feels he would appreciate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or The Village Chapel's mission fund, of which he was a former board member. The Village ChapelIn Memory of Keith Drummond2021 21st Ave SouthSuite C-100Nashville, TN 37212
