Kerry Byrdene Weaver

On Wednesday Mar 6, 2024 Kerry passed away peacefully at the age of 68 after a brief battle with cancer.

Kerry was born 12-6-55 in Victor, Iowa. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of Iowa and spent her career in training & development. She spent the last 30 years of her life as a resident of TN, but always considered Iowa as her home.

Kerry was all about peace, love & kindness. She supported the rights of all in living their authentic lives and to celebrate their uniqueness. She was a lifelong lover of rescue animals.

Kerry was preceded in death by her husband Doug, and her mother, Nadene.

She is survived by her daughter, Cher (Kurt) Stephenson, step-children Andi (Drew) Dyke, & Mark (Susan) Whinery, grandsons Cody (Rochelle) Rawson, Quinn & Reece Whinery, granddaughters Amber & Dayton Dyke, great-grandchildren (KK, Garrett, Ollie, Kae, Jamie, Jade, & Belle), brother David, and sister Deb.

As her final wish, in place of a service, Kerry has asked for one final act of kindness to be passed on: to donate to a pet rescue, LGBTQ+ program, or women’s support-service location of your choosing.
