Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Liza Juliette Shabin DeCamp's passing at the age of 66 on August 16, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on July 1, 1960, in New York City to her loving mother, Betty Shabin. Liza grew up in the neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan, New York.

A true artist, Liza attended the High School of Art and Design and, after graduation, pursued her passion at Parsons School of Design in NYC. From the time Liza could walk, she carried a camera and loved capturing life's beautiful moments and inspired others to cherish their own memories. This passion led her to start MAGNETQUEEN® in 1998 in NYC. With her graphics art expertise, she was able to create photo magnet memories for people from all over the world. Liza loved country music, and because of this love, she relocated her business to Nashville, Tennessee. Still, she remained a New Yorker in her heart. After 28 years of running a business, she wanted to slow down and work where she was around the public. She took a job at Starbucks where everyone was treated like a friend by her. She didn’t just serve coffee she was that ray of sunshine that made your day.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Shabin.

She leaves her devoted husband of 25 years, Brian DeCamp, to cherish her memory, along with her brother, Tom Graham; her aunts, Janet and Claudia Shabin; and her uncles, Genie and Larry Shabin. She will also be remembered by her cousins Karen Shabin and Debbie Romero, her stepsons Kyle and Brian DeCamp, her brother-in-law James DeCamp (Mary Elizabeth), her sister-in-law Tricia Neary (Kevin), and her nieces and nephews: Kevin, Sean, Kelsey, Paul, Mary, James and William.

Proverbs 17:17: "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity."

Liza's longtime friends, Kathryne Peterson, Ana Jouvin, Fred Stepkin, Liz Stark, Patty Rushing, Shana Singleton Hoy and countless of others along with her Starbucks family.

Will miss her forever and always.

To honor Liza's life, there will be a gathering of friends in Central Park and Nashville, Tennessee. The dates and times will be announced. Let us celebrate the joy Liza brought to our lives.
