Mary Ilene Zyla was born on May 19,1929 and passed away,quietly, after a lengthy illness on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at the age of 84.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Irene Bellis, her loving husband, Lawrence F. Zyla, son, Gary Wayne Zyla and 7 of her 8 brothers. She left behind her daughter Geri (Richard) Scott of Whites Creek Tn, son David(Debra)of Tualatin, Oregon, and 3 grandchildren, Rachel (Don) White in Lenoir City, Tn., Geoff Scott in Japan and Joey Zyla in Oregon. She has 1 remaining brother, Bob Bellis who lives in Colorado. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Pat Bellis in Utah, Malita Bellis in Wyoming, Edna Bellis in Colorado and Bob and Betty Zyla in Michigan. She also had many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Zyla was a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison, Tn.
She will be cremated and her ashes and her husband’s will be taken to the Colorado and scattered in the Rockie Mountains.
The family also wants to commend the care given to their mother by the angels of Caring Hearts in Portland, Tn. They took such good care and made our Mother’s last days very comfortable with love and warmth.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec.7, 2013 at City Road Chapel UMC @ 2pm.
