Michele Vollbrecht

Michele Ruth Vollbrecht (Touzeau), age 77, died peacefully on April 7, 2020 at the Green Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Nashville, TN. Michele was born on October 6, 1942 in Lakewood, Ohio, the daughter of William and Lucille Touzeau and the oldest child of a family of six siblings.Michele attended and graduated from Huron High School in 1960 and moved on to earn a bachelor's degree in Education from Cleveland State University and a Master's in Library Science from Rutgers. She spent 22 years working as an elementary school librarian in the public schools, sharing her love of books and literature with thousands of children throughout her career.Michele loved playing Scrabble, bird watching, searching for spring wildflowers, and picnics in the park. She was an active member of several different congregations of the United Methodist Church for most of her life.She is survived by her daughter, Vera Ellen Roberts (Wesley), and two sisters, Jackie Pickup and Lu Ellen Touzeau.Services will not be held at this time, and the family asks those who knew Michele to lift her up with love and prayers. Memorial donations can be sent in her memory to Warner Park Nature Center, c/o Friends of Warner Parks, 50 Vaughn Road, Nashville, TN.
