With broken hearts, we share the passing of Paige Dragoo, age 52, at her home in Nashville, Tennessee. Having lived a life in which her children were her greatest joy, she loved with her whole being.

Paige Elizabeth Blatny was born to Dr. Richard and Bernice Blatny in Fairbury, Nebraska, on May 3, 1974. She and her sister, Pamela, arrived three minutes apart and were delivered by their father. The twins were welcomed by older siblings, Angie and Rick Jr., and followed by a younger sister, Brooke. The five siblings remained very close throughout Paige’s life, even though miles separated them. Paige was fond of saying, “We always have each other.”

Paige’s childhood included summer trips to the lake, boating and camping with family and dear friends. Paige attended St Michael’s Catholic School for grades 1 through 6, followed by Fairbury Jr-Sr High. Paige enjoyed participating in team sports, as well as water- and snow-skiing. From elementary age through high school, her Girls Fast Pitch Softball team traveled around Nebraska and Kansas, with Paige playing Pitcher and Catcher. In high school, she earned varsity letters in volleyball and basketball. She was also a member of the Student Council, FBLA, National Honor Society, and Homecoming Court her senior year.

After graduating from Fairbury High School in 1992, Paige attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. After 3 years, she was admitted to the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy. After 2 years, she transferred to Baylor College of Pharmacy in Houston, completing her education with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1998.

In 1999, Paige and Eric Dragoo were married in Fairbury and lived in Houston, Texas before relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2002. There, Paige gave birth to the lights of her life, Isabella Raine and Gage Erickson, on September 1, 2005.

Motherhood came naturally for Paige, and she handled two newborns better than most new mothers handle one. In 2007, the family moved to Frisco, Texas, where they remained throughout the kids’ schooling. The family loved to travel, and Paige wanted her kids to see all the world had to offer. Adventuring around Europe, annual ski trips, and exploring different islands, Paige was always looking forward to the next endeavor.

She instilled passion in her children, exposing Gage to the world of theatre and performance and gifting him with a love of acting, movies, and storytelling he continues to pursue today. But perhaps most importantly, she instilled within Gage the love of people. Her example of what it means to love unconditionally and be there for someone has inspired Gage as a man.

Bella adored her mom and always wanted to be her when she “grew up.” In fashion & beauty, Bella spent countless hours in her mom’s closet and makeup, playing dress-up. They shared many experiences: concerts, shopping, mani/pedis, and other girly-girl activities. They bonded over “Dancing With The Stars” tour shows and meet-and-greets, and watched each DWTS season together. Bella herself continued to dance throughout her school years and carries her enthusiasm for dance today.

Paige gave so much of herself. In addition to her own children, “Aunt Paige” loved to arrange mini-vacations for her nieces and nephews. Her energy and generosity were unmatched during their childhood years and continued forward.

Paige never met an occasion that wouldn’t be better with a theme and/or costumes! She had a knack for entertaining and ensuring that her guests always left with fun memories. She loved decorating and celebrating the Holidays, especially Halloween. Another passion she never outgrew was theme parks and thrill rides (thankfully, neither did her twin sister).

In the Spring of 2025, Paige moved to Nashville, Tennessee, conveniently located between her children's college campuses. In the short time she lived there, she immersed herself in the musical culture, attending the CMA Awards and multiple other live events. Her fur baby, a Siberian Husky named Rocco, moved from Frisco to Nashville with her, and they explored the beautiful dog parks together. Paige did her best to spoil Rocco, just as she did for humans, enrolling him in doggy daycare and fun summer camps. She was loved by all she met and made a real impact on her neighbors and new friends in Tennessee.

Waiting in heaven for Paige are her mother, Bing Blatny; grandparents Ted and Clara Blatny, and Joe and Alice Chromy. Left cherishing her memory are her children, Bella and Gage Dragoo; parents, Dr. Richard (Joyce) Blatny; siblings, Angie Boohar, Dr. Rick Blatny, Jr., Pamela (Doug) Hund, Brooke Nelson; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins; extended family, and friends.
