Rita Brooks-Mccall

August 2, 1958 — June 16, 2022

In loving memory of Rita Brooks-McCall.

She was born August 2, 1958 and passed away June 16, 2022 at home with her wife Chris and her Pastor Tony Rogers-Sirten by her side at the age of 63. Rita loved cruising with Chris and they made many friends while cruising. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats.

She was a graduate of David Lipscomb State University with a BA in Psychology and a minor in social work and history. She worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician most of her life. Most recently she drove for Lyft and was a caregiver for people with Intellectual Disabilities. She loved driving people around Nashville and surrounding areas.

She was survived by her beloved wife Chris, Mother Barbara McCall, long time family friend Karen Siska, Brother Jeffery McCall, step sons Russell and Ralph Brooks, Keri Brooks, 2 grandchildren Shaleigh and Jasen Brooks, and 3 kitty cats Pumpkin, Gracie and Angel. She touched so many lives and always strived to make people laugh. She did so just a couple of days before her passing.

Please join her family and church family for her Celebration of Life on July 17, 2022, 10:30am at The Church of The Living Water, 731 S. Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, TN 37072 with potluck lunch to follow. Her ashes will be scattered at sea at a later date by family members.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the church.
