Robert Kenneth Wilkes

Robert Kenneth “Kenny” Wilkes, born on August 29, 1941, passed away on December 11, 2024. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Glenda, for 58 years; a loving father to his three children; and a loyal friend to all who knew him. An avid outdoorsman, Kenny cherished fishing and hunting, and was known for his captivating storytelling, often sharing tales of his adventures with family and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Wilkes; his sisters, Judy Knoop and Eileen Roney; and his best friend, John Farris. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wilkes; his children, Kim Barrett (Mickey), Todd Wilkes, and Kristi Rector (Phil); his grandchildren, Brittney, Garrett, Bailey, Shelby, Tori, Christian, Gavin, and Tyce; seven great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Barbara McCall, Patsy Tanley, Jack Wilkes, and Tim Wilkes.

Kenny’s legacy of love, adventure, and storytelling will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Kenny’s memorial service will take place on January 4, 2025, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church (201 S College Street Smithville, TN) at 11:00 AM with a brief visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
