Obituary

Ronald Pavlowski, age 79, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026. He was born on January 23, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Harvey, Illinois with his mother Ann and stepdad Fred Hess, a Harvey detective.

While many define their lives by a single profession, Ron defined his by the sheer variety of his experiences. Throughout his life, he was a "jack of all trades" who held many titles: a truck driver, roofer, car salesman, sales representative for Empire and owning his own remodeling business to name a few. Driven by a deep sense of purpose and not being able to sit around after he retired, Ron chose to remain active and work for Home Depot until his recent passing. Ron lived a life defined by adventure, curiosity, and the open road. Though his journeys took him far and wide - he collected countless stories, friends, and experiences along the way. To those who knew him best, Ron was a man of quiet strength and few words. While he may not have been one to openly express his feelings or wear his emotions on his sleeve, he reminds us that family bonds are not always measured by the hours we keep, but by the space we hold for one another in our hearts.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Pavlowski and Michaela of Grafenwöhr, Germany, Tammy Pavlowski of Munster, Indiana, Linda Roat and Mike of Goodyear, Arizona, John Gustav and Mary Anne of Huntington, New York, Krista Godfrey and John of New Lenox, IL; and 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Ann Hess (Orawiec) and Fred Pavlowski as well as his sister Cynthia Thompson.

Ronald loved all sports, the thrill of pulling the lever on the slots, traveling far and wide, but we are certain he is chasing a little white ball, perfecting his swing and enjoying a cold beverage on the 19th hole while watching over us.

Whenever we see an Arizona Green Tea w/Ginseng and Honey, hear chimes blowing in the wind, travel to a new destination, hear a country song or see a beautiful Koi pond it will remind us of our father who was loved.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private spreading of his ashes will occur at a later date.
