Sharon Lynn Arthur

(October 22, 1961 – August 31, 2026)

Sharon Arthur was born October 22, 1961, in St. Louis, MO and passed away on August 31, 2026 in Hendersonville TN, after a short illness. Sharon grew up in St Charles, MO where she was an active part of First Baptist Church of Harvester and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior there as a child. Sharon attended Southwest Baptist University where she met Michael Arthur in a Lifestyle Evangelism class. They were married in 1984. Together they ministered at several churches in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, Missouri, Montana, and Wyoming where Sharon played piano, sang in the choirs, and taught children and youth. While ministering at these churches, Sharon also worked for several companies spending the last 17 years with Omnicare, a division of CVS. When she wasn’t working and serving alongside Michael in ministry, she enjoyed reading, going to the beach, singing, knitting, and crocheting.

Sharon and Michael moved to Sorrento, FL where Michael preceded her, passing away in February of 2023. She was also preceded by her parents, David Lee Jones and C. Eulah Jones. Sharon is survived by two sisters, Anita (Ronnie) and Cathy (David). Though Sharon and Michael had no children, she did have several nephews and nieces, Brandon, Ronnie G, Rebekah, Sami, & Katelyn as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews whom she loved dearly.

Sharon had many friends and family all over the country after serving at churches in many states. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Sorrento, FL. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
