Steven Joesph Langland, “Red”, age 38 of Coopertown, TN, left us way too soon and crossed over to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday February 16th, 2026 @ 2:20am at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville due to a brain aneurysm and complications from a prior stroke in 2006.
He was born April 10th, 1987, in Longmont, Colorado, the son of Steven Howard Langland and Jo Ellen Martin.
Steven spent his Childhood in Colorado, Wyoming and Missouri, later relocating to Tennessee at the age of 17, calling it home for 21 years. He was always an incredibly hard worker, well respected, had a strong moral compass, strong integrity, and always willing to lend a helping hand and encouragement to others as a strong leader and declared Christian.
Steven was an avid outdoorsman, expert hunter and fisherman. He prided upon his long red hair and beard, earning his nickname as “Red”. He loved to grill out and spend time with family and friends, smoke and drink, but his children were his entire world. Red made it very clear to all who knew him that nothing else was more important to him than his beautiful children, Giovanna and Remington.
Steven was predeceased by his father, Steven Howard Langland. Survived by his mother Jo Ellen, sisters Kimberly, Dorris, Denise, Marie, Angela, Stephine, brother Jeremiah and his children, Giovanna Sabella & Remington Jericho, many nieces, nephews, extended family and MANY “brothers from another mother”.
Steven’s legacy also lives on through the many people who knew him as Red, including his Jarrett Companies work family. He was an extremely personable and passionate man and will be greatly missed!
A Celebration of Life, a BIG FUN PARTY, the way that Red would want is scheduled for April 11th, 2026, at The Livery Stable in Pleasantview, TN with an Honoring Ceremony beginning at 2pm. Take home mementos, great food, lots of fun and an open bar to follow until 6pm! We hope to see you there and dressed in camouflage or the color red!
Please provide donations to his children via Go Fund Me @ https://gofund.me/cbc22a6ce
