William Frank “Bill” Key Sr., age 78, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, passing away peacefully.
Born on July 30, 1946, Bill proudly served in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. His military career was distinguished, including multiple tours in Vietnam, where he was awarded two Purple Hearts in recognition of his bravery and sacrifice. Bill carried the quiet strength, humility, and resilience of his service throughout his life.
More than anything, Bill was a man of faith. He loved the Lord and lived with a steady devotion that touched the lives of everyone around him. He was a kind, loyal, and wise man who brought calm and strength to those who knew him.
Bill also had a great appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, enjoyed shooting pool, and found joy and adventure in white water rafting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Bernice Key; his brother, Steve Key; and his grandchildren, Savannah Cashman Morgan, Emilie Posey and Michael Posey.
He is survived by his children: April Bradshaw (Jeff), Madison Conquest, and Bill Key Jr.; and his cherished grandchildren: Morgan Baird, Baylee Martin, and Brian Martin Jr. He is also survived by his brothers: Larry (Mary) Key, Mike (Rosemarie) Key, and John (Elizabeth) Key.
