Steven Martin Tillett, 65, passed away on October 31, 2022. He was born on January 7, 1957, in Knoxville, TN to parents Albert Samuel Martin Tillett and Dolores Brooks.

He is preceded in death by his parents Albert Samuel Martin Tillett and Dolores Brooks Tillett and by his son, Geoffrey Todd Tillett.

Survived by his wife, Donna Tillett; daughter Jessica (Eric) Leathers of Lebanon, TN; Sister Cindy (Mickey) Phelps of Leesburg, FL; grandsons, Jacob (Brittany) Tillett of Dickson, TN; Austin Bradley-Tillett of Memphis, TN; Brian (Anja) Howard of Chanhassen, MN and Brady (Dakota) Howard of Clarksville; granddaughter, Darrian (Tim) Harrison of Clarksville, TN; Granddaughter, Paxton Fairbairn of Clarksville, TN and several great-grandchildren and several cousins.

He was a very special, caring and good man with a heart of gold.  He loved his family and the Lord and Tennessee Volunteers football. He was the best Daddy, Granddaddy and later on he became a Great-Granddaddy as well.

He also loved hiking in the Smokies among other places, fishing, hunting and visiting Destin, FL.  Earlier in his life, he was very involved in doing wood carvings. He loved his sweet puppy dog "Baby" and his Congo African Grey Parrot "Beau".


He originally worked for South Central Bell in Knoxville, TN and then transferred to Nashville, TN where he continued to work for the telephone company as it became BellSouth. He was also District Manager for AllSouth Deliveries. Later on, he went back to school to accomplish getting his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees.  He then worked for the State of Tennessee in Human Resources for several years.

He is very loved and will be missed so much.


His wishes were to be cremated.  The family will hold a Celebration of Life service soon and will announce details when they become available
