In Memorial

Elbia L. Blade, age 86 of Nashville, passed away August 3, 2015 at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare facility in Nashville.

A native of Pulaski, TN, Mr. Blade was the son of the late Vester and Vera Jones Blade.

He served his country during the Korean War and was in sales as a career.

At the time of his death, he had dedicated 59 years of his life cherishing his beautiful bride, the former Donna Dean Chapman. They were united in marriage on January 7, 1956. The family will gather on Friday, August 7 at 10 AM for visitation at Dalewood Baptist Church, 1586 McGavock Pk, Nashville. Funeral services honoring Elbia’s life will begin at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Leon Davis, Associate Pastor of St. James Missionary Baptisth Church, and assisted by Rev. Winston Davidson and Deacon Vincent Cawthon.

Burial with military honors will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on McCrory Ln in Nashville.
