James Mikel Daye was born December 10, 1961 in Kokomo, Indiana, and passed away, much too soon, on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
He was originally from Arab, Alabama but his home was in Nashville for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Ms. Juanita Neighbors, his brother Gary Neighbors and friend Cynthia Pate, children David and Asiera Martinez, special friend Lee Anne Carnell, and an abundance of other family members, colleagues, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Finley Neighbors, Jr., and his brother, Dr. John Neighbors.
“Jimmy,” as he was known by his friends and family, was a graduate of the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) He lived most of his adult life in Nashville, and worked in the media/communications industry. He also owned and operated a successful vending business.
In lieu of a service or flowers, friends are welcome to make a donation in his name to the American Cancer Society.
