Robert Allen Michael, Jr. also known as Butch, Bob and Michelle (Ask his wife) went home to the lord on Monday November 14th. He has left behind his wife-Jamie, a mother-Jean, daughters Jessica and Heather, granddaughters Mia and Lila, mother-in-law Erma and a multitude of other friends and family too many to be named.
He was a proud employee for the state of Tennessee for 32 years and an even prouder husband for 39 years. He was a loving man who did a lot for his family and for perfect strangers alike. He could always be found striking up a conversation with whomever walked by and if lost in a store it never failed that he could be found where the books resided. He instilled in his daughters a love of learning and independence that will stay with them forever and loving devotion from his wife that is still as strong as the day they met.
He was an avid fan of all things sports and never missed watching a game if a Tennessee team was playing on TV and being from Morristown near Knoxville he would swear he bled orange. In his free time after working on the next great crime novel, doing book club meetups weekly, providing a comfy sleeping place for pugs Bandit and Gizmo, enjoying weekends with his granddaughters, chatting with people he met from all over the world and enjoying a good round of Fallout 4 he would make time to meet with fellow amputees to help talk them through the pain and process of the experience. He was a man who genuinely enjoyed speaking to and learning about as well as from everybody he met. He had a strong belief in God and although we know where he has gone, he will be greatly missed by all.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, you donate to: www.amputeeBLADErunners.com so that they can continue to help amputees in their way as Bob helped amputees in his way. Memorial services will be held at Madison Freewill Baptist Church. Saturday December 3rd at 10:00 AM.

What a great guy, you will be missed.
I will indeed miss you my friend. Continue to smile upon us as as we torment through this world and patiently wait to enter the next.
Jamie, May God grant you his “Perfect Love” and “Perfect Peace”. 1st Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your cares upon him
for her cares for You”. What great words that remind us, that Jesus cares about each one of us as his children. .
Praise the Lord, that we as believers can KNOW, that when we depart this world, that we have an eternal home,
forever with the Lord. “Jesus” is the “Christmas Gift” that keeps “Giving”. God Bless you and your family my Friend.
In Christian Love,
Barry & Teresa Oldfield
