Samuel Kenneth Goans, Jr. ‘passed into the clearing at the end of the path’ on December 13th, 2016. Sam to some, Ken or Kenny to others, was a loving and creative person with a nonstop need to learn and grow.
Child of Samuel Kenneth Goans, Sr. and Ruth Groseclose Goans, beloved step-son of Vera Smith Goans.
Ken is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Goans, who he instilled with the love of the quiet peace of nature and all things Sci-Fi and Fantasy. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Goans. The loving bond they shared was strong and deep. He was also blessed with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who enriched his life.
Carol and Elizabeth would like to thank Rajayna Davis Riley and Gary ‘Doc’ Carter for their love and support during Ken’s hospitalization.

Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.”
