
Douglas “Doug” Wimberly Oakes Jr.
Doug died unexpectedly on August 1, 2017 in Nashville, TN at the age of 32.
Doug is survived by his son, Tristen Oakes of Antioch. His parents, Douglas and Dorothy Oakes of Mt. Juliet and his sister, Chere Hughlett of Lebanon.
Doug was born on October 8, 1984 in Nashville, TN and grew up in Mt. Juliet TN.
Doug was accomplished in the automotive industry as a mechanic and auto body technician. He was a generous and kindhearted individual that loved to make others laugh and smile, especially his son, Tristen. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others when and where he could.
A Celebration of Life memorial ceremony will be held on August 19, 2017. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doug’s life. I’ve known Doug for several years although it’s been a few since the last time I saw him. I always had high hopes for him, he was a good kid that loved life. It is heartbreaking to hear this news.

Doug i will always remember how we were in middle school and high school love you brotha and ill never forget when I came to your house and terrorized your mother when we were young you are gone way to soon and trust me ill hold you to that promise when I see you again and do the catching up from the years we left side open.
