Nashville native Linda Glennon Peters passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was one of 12 children of Leo Glennon and Martha Walkup Glennon, and made her career as an insurance claims adjuster.
Linda will be remembered as the “life of the party.” She had a passion for living and made the most of every moment. She loved the energy of downtown Nashville and often spent time there singing karaoke. While living in New Orleans she took full advantage of Mardi Gras, and enjoyed her time with friends.
Linda loved deeply. If she liked you she was your greatest support and championed your every effort. Of course, the opposite could be true as well! She adored her family and made her lifelong friends part of that group.
In recent years, as her health failed her, she spent a great deal of time in reflection. She appreciated the efforts and struggles of those around her and enjoyed time spent at home making memories and planning her next move!
She is survived by one son: Brad (Christie) Demonbreun and a grandson: Ethan; a sister: Carolyn Horton; two brothers: Robert (Arieanna) Glennon and Jimmy (Sue) Glennon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Her passion and zeal for life will be celebrated by her family and friends with a visitation gathering on Wednesday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the Lavergne First United Methodist Church, and again on Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 2:00 PM at the church. According to her wishes, Linda will be returned to some very places from her life experiences.
